Given a business name is so important, we tend to put a lot of importance on it. How did you arrive at a name, and how do you feel about it now that you’ve been in business a while?
Ours is a writing business and we need to write it right. Thus, Write Right. Succinct, smart and sensible. The name resembles and it creates a connection with the clients. We feel really great when people forget other (cliche-common) brand names and never forget ours.

With some businesses, location is a key component. Is there anything about the place you live and work that’s shaped your own business?
Umm, actually … ours has more to do with remote and not physical location. People write it from across the globe and because of the fast-track technology, all content our top writers create just goes to client’s email and/or CRM.
How would you describe your professional experience and background?
Along with the primary business of Write Right, I currently manage and own four different verticals of content writing and marketing including:
- Dad of Ad
I have published four books:
- The Weak Point Dealer
- Will You Walk A Mile
- The C to T of Content Marketing
- The Unproposed Guy
Since 2013, I have been writing blogs and articles, newsletters and emails, website content and case studies for clients across the globe. In 2016, I started my own agency as I felt that writing 1500+ blogs myself and publishing it online is enough :)
Could you describe the scope of your operation?
The whole operation process is under me.
I also train, moderate, curate, and screen new writers. Alongside, I am in business development too so I convert the potential prospects into profit-worthy leads.
What inspired you to shape your idea into a business? What was that moment when you realized your journey as an entrepreneur needs to start now?
After my blogs got published in the world’s most prestigious websites like Entrepreneur and HuffPost, I felt that I have a knack that everyone doesn’t. I immediately decided to leave my full time job and embarked on the journey of entrepreneurship.
I tell you, it’s going pretty fantastic. Today, Write Right is India’s highest reviewed, rated and recommended content writing agency in India by Clutch, GoodFirms, Glassdoor, Trustpilot, Sortlist, GMB and G2.
What kind of projects do you prefer to work on?
Blog writing, email content and website writing are our forte. We also cater digital marketing services like SEO, PPC and social media marketing.
Could you describe your typical client (if you have a typical client)?
Our typical clients are ALWAYS in need of ‘blogs’ for their own websites/magazines/blogs/newsletters.
Yes, along with that, second most typical are the ones who want to revamp their website content or write it from scratch with us.
Sometimes we’re in a position where it’s necessary to turn down projects. What do those situations look like for you, and how do you manage them?
It’s really difficult and tricky. It hampers the brand’s reputation. It’s very sensitive.
We generally manage it by suggesting better partners or collaborators so in a way, a win-win for both of us.
Turning down a project has many reasons and we always try that the reason shouldn’t be our lack of expertise. We have many partners in different sectors and industries with whom we have affiliation.
Performance is always important, but sometimes we have to pay close attention to value as well. How do you position GoDaddy products and services for your clients?
Believe it or not, I am not even exaggerating. Note this, “Just like Xerox is for copying machines, GoDaddy is for website domains, SSL, and their many products.
GoDaddy is one name that just comes into our and client’s mind instantly. That’s awesome if you talk about setting up a brand image as the name resonates and connects.
Could you describe a project that you feel exemplifies you at your best?
Yes, till date there have been several projects but the one with the bulk quantity is my favorite. We received 1000 blog requirements of 2000 words each. That was to be delivered in 25 days.
Well, quality is always the issue while doing such huge content writing. But, fortunately with our premium writers (30 writers), we worked day and night to complete the quantity in 22 days.
Of course, the editing took the next three days but we were well on time and the client was a big name in India selling products on their eCommerce stores. They were overwhelmed and we realized our potential.
An obvious metric for measuring our own success is how much you got paid versus how much time it took. In your experience, what are the advantages and drawbacks here?
The advantage is pretty straightforward — we measure efficiency and productivity. Accordingly, we move ahead and further with it, doing the necessary changes required to alter the cons.
Drawbacks are nominal.
To satisfy clients or to give the best, sometimes, it’s mandatory to not look at the amount we got paid.
That’s rare but yes, when that happens it is always because the client is humble and good enough.
How does GoDaddy Pro fit into what you do? Could you recommend any ways to get the most value out of it — especially to someone just starting out?
I will again compare it with an analogy. If we need to buy books of any kind, I just open Amazon. Similarly, when someone is starting anything ONLINE, they just have to open GoDaddy. GoDaddy Pro provides everything at one go. It’s a one-stop shop. Simple.
Imagine you could travel back in a time machine to a point where you were like, Forget this. I’m done! What advice would you give yourself?
I wouldn’t do mechanical engineering. I would definitely go for Arts if I could travel back in time.
What’s your advice for people who want to be like you when they grow up?
- Have some savings before you start something of your own.
- Don’t just leave your full-time job abruptly. Think through it.
- Success takes TIME. There is no magic shot or short path.
- Money matters when you are running a business. Don’t ever overspend it.
- Honesty, loyalty and transparency are keys to success.
