My Website has been Blocked - A Error I Made

Hi,

I am a little embarrassed by this but I am hoping that someone/ anyone can help me. I was in the process of adding the IP Trap contribution to my oscommerce online store and I have been banned from my own website and now I just see a black page when I enter my website address.

According to the contribution, it said "  you can see how it works by going to a link provided but then it bans you as well". This was my stupidity because I did not read all of it and no one seems to know how to help me or how to remove me from the banned list.

I have been trying for several days to get help from the osCommerce form but they keep saying to contact my website host company who controls my cPanel for help.

I have checked my cPanel IP Blocker and it is empty

I have tried to access my .htpaccess but can not see it in my file manager & can not get the pop up to add hidden files.

I have tried searches within the file manager to see if I can find anything that has my ip address in it

I have tried searches for banned files but no files come up

I am at a total loss. Is it even possible to retreive a ip address ?

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Hi @traciedawn

That's an unfortunate situation Man Sad I'm not sure how you would fix this, but you should be able to access any files you need via your File Manager within cPanel. It seems likely that the entries would be listed in your application's database somewhere. It doesn't seem likely that it would add entries directly within cPanel, unless it is done via a .htaccess file.

You may need to reach out to the creator of the IP blocking software directly if possible. Another suggestion would be to see if there is any additional documentation that was included when you downloaded the software.

Does anyone else in the community have experience using IP Trap? It would be great if someone has first hand knowledge.

Re: My Website has been Blocked

I am having a similar problem.

Started on  1-9-17
unable to access my website at http://www.ricksframes.com/test.html (I setup the test page because default currently redirects to another site)
It worked fine the day before
I am able to get to all other websites without a problem

Have tried the following with no luck:
Deleting cookies, history, etc..
restarting the modem AR TG862g
restarting the computer
scanning for malware
changed ports on the Tenda Switch
tried with other deivces on same network both wired and wireless
tried with firefox, IE and chrome
changed my lan DHCP IP address
checked my hosts file
checked my .htaccess file on the server

I am able to connect thru ftp
I pinged my website thru command prompt I was able to get a reply
I am able to connect with 4g on my phone and at work (I have Comcast at work too)
I can connect if I change my ip address with a vpn, it seems like they are blocking just my home ip address.

Re: My Website has been Blocked - A Error I Made

Hello guys, Just simple make new .htaccess file offline and upload it trought your filemanager

<IfModule mod_rewrite.c>
RewriteEngine On
RewriteBase /
RewriteRule ^index\.php$ - [L]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteRule . /index.php [L]
</IfModule>

if ask to overwrite the existing one just confirm.
