DNS on a subdomain

Hi All,

I'm looking to do dynamic dns on a sub domain.

I have a domain X.com

I have a dynamic dns server in azure on an IP

I want to us ddns.X.com and have the nameserver as the dynamic dns server.

Am I right in thinking i need:

A record with servername.ddns.X.com pointing to the Azure IP

NS record for ddns.X.com pointing to the A record

Do I need anything else?

ns1.ddns as a NS record and ns2.ddns as a NS record and you should be good to go to use the 3rd party dns server for ddns.x.com
