Error Adding TXT Record

I am attempting to add a TXT record to allow Amazon AWS to verify ownership.  I receive the following error:  "An unexpected error occurred. If this issue continues, contact support."

Input request parameters:

Type:  TXT

Host:  _amazonses.kopperuds.com.

Txt Value:  this is a series of characters that i can provide on request.

TTL:  Custom  Seconds:  3600

I have also tried setting the TTL to 1 hour.  I also dropped the values into notepad to strip out any hidden special characters and made sure there were no leading spaces or trailing spaces.

What would cause this?  According to AWS there are two steps to use and the first step is to verify ownership by creating this TXT record.

Thanks!

Re: Error Adding TXT Record

Hi @pkopperud, thanks for posting.

Was kopperuds.com your domain name? If so, you won't want to include it in the Host section when adding the record. If that isn't the case, follow up with the exact steps you were taking and perhaps another community member will be able to offer some additional advice.

I believe you are right, but no one seems to read your answer Smiley LOL

Re: Error Adding TXT Record

The Solution is really a foolish workaround [SOLVED]

1)Click on the SAVE Button Twice.

2)If the error is shown as Record Already Exists:Refresh The Page

(godaddy doesn't update the page in realtime).

3. Also do not enter your domain name in the TXT Host, just write: _amazonses

Re: Error Adding TXT Record

This just worked so fine for me. Go daddy really do not update in real time, once I refreshed the page, it worked.
