Selling a premium domain-do I need to transfer to GoDaddy or change nameservers?
I want to sell a premium GEO dot com domain name on GoDaddy but its already hosted on a different company, in order to list it for sale do I need to transfer it to GoDaddy or can I just change the Nameservers and then add it for sale at GoDaddy?
You can list .com domains from any registrar, changing the nameservers is not a requirement. The domain would need to be transferred to the buyer if it sells, this is initiated by the buyer for cross registrar transactions. The seller would then need to unlock the domain, provide the authorization codes and approve the transfer.
