Setting up a mail alias on one domain for another domain

I own a.com and b.com both in GoDaddy.

Only a.com has an email plan.

I pointed b.com's mx record to a.com

I want me@a.com to receive mail sent to me@b.com

Where do I add the alias me@b.com to a.com's email account?

I pointed b.com's mx record to a.com, but in GoDaddy's Workspace - I don't see where I can add an email alias? I don't have O365 - just Workspace Email.

Re: Setting up a mail alias on one domain for another domain

Hi @kayzeebee,

The MX record of the domain must be directed to the email server, not the other domain.

Workspace email records:

MX        @        mailstore1.secureserver.net (Priority: 10)        1 Hour

MX        @        smtp.secureserver.net (Priority: 0)                1 Hour

A paid email plan, or a credit can be used for any domain. Most accounts also have an option for free email forwarding. You can use that credit to set up a forward of b.com to direct to the  a.com email address in the account.
