Did you mean:

Hacekd by an htaccess file.

Fortunately I don´t use htaccess files and when I realized about some issues in my site it was easy for me when checking on the File Manager to find it and delete it…..and everything started to work okay.

I don´t know when the hacking was made and Godaddy didn´t advice me about.

So I wonder if there is a way to avoid that htaccess files be uploaded to my site?

NOTE: I already change my password of course.

Hello @multig and welcome to the Community!

I apologize for the delayed response and welcome. If you are still needing assistance with this issue, the best way to protect your site is to install an SSL to your site and add a firewall layer of protection to your site. GoDaddy has an Ultimate Website Security Package that includes monitoring, advanced protection with firewall, website backup/restore, and an SSL is included.

If you have not done so already, I recommend reaching out to GoDaddy Support for an ask for an account review to further assist with questions about adding this protection to your website.

GoDaddy Support is available 24/7 via phone and the chat team is available Monday-Friday from 5am-6pm Arizona time (MST).
