I want to be able to have my site visitors download pdf documents from my wordpress site. A push button would be best like at this site: http://midwilshiredentistry.com/patient-information/
Any not to technical suggestions?
Go to Solution.
This simplest way to accomplish that is to create/acquire the graphics you desire to be clickable, upload them to your Media Library and then wrap the graphic in link code to the PDF. For example:
<a href="http://www.yourdomain.com/filename.pdf"><img src="http://www.yourdomain.com/yourbuttonname.gif" width="250" height="50" alt="Download Our XXX PDF"></a>
There are plugins that do this as well, one is: https://wordpress.org/plugins/maxbuttons/
I would go with the first option in lieu of adding another plugin that will gobble up resources just to accomplish something we can do with a snippet of code.
