Unblock ports required for my Generation 4 server
For smooth operation of your Generation 4 server, you need to unblock ports 2223 and 2224 as described here. If server events are "stuck" because the necessary ports were blocked, follow these steps and try again after 15 minutes.
Note: This procedure describes how to unblock ports if you're using FirewallD, a common firewall utility that ships with CentOS 7. If you're using a different firewall utility, you may need to change this sample code.
- Connect to the server via SSH. For help, see Connect to my Web Hosting account with SSH (Secure Shell).
- Run this command:
sudo firewall-cmd --permanent --add-port=2223-2224/tcp
- Run these commands:
sudo firewall-cmd --reload sudo firewall-cmd --list-portsThe second of these two commands verifies that the ports are unblocked.
